ILUVIEN a new treatment for Diabetic Macular Edema (DME) available in our office in Lausanne
A new treatment is now available for the treatment of diabetic macular edema by means of a slow release device implanted in the eye. This device will work for 2 to 3 years. However, before it can be implanted (an office procedure), the patient must be assessed. We need to determine the risk of developing glaucoma or cataracts, fairly frequent during the time the device works.
